Acas guidance on promoting positive mental health

Mental health costs UK employers 26 billion every year including 8.4 billion in sickness absence and 15.1 billion in reduced productivity.

Talking about mental health in the workplace can be intimidating and managers often worry about getting it wrong. Acas can provide";>guidance and";>trainingto help.

Why is it important?

A CIPD study has highlighted the real business impacts of poor mental health in employees:
- 37% of sufferers are more likely to get into conflict with colleagues
- 57% find it harder to juggle multiple tasks
- 80% find it difficult to concentrate
- 62% take longer to do tasks
- 50% are potentially less patient with customers/clients.
